Who Won Tonight's Vice-Presidential Debate?

Who Won Tonight's Vice-Presidential Debate?

11:40 EST: Early returns from our poll show Trailwatch readers thought Joe Biden won tonight's debate. Of the 3,887 respondents, 2,850, or 73%, called the debate for the Democratic veep. 909 readers have voted for Palin, 23% of the total.

The candidates have left the stage. Joe Biden and Sarah Palin matched wits and policy positions. In the end, they carried similar themes. It was the middle class versus Joe Six-Pack and change versus reform. Now it's time for the winners to be declared by voters, members of the respective campaigns--and, as Sarah Palin noted, by the mainstream media.

We at Trailwatch want to know what you think. Who was the big winner in tonight's debate? Sarah Palin or Joe Biden? Tell us what you think by taking our poll. We'll update results as they come in. Stay tuned to see what Trailwatch readers think.
